Ola recently launched its first electric scooter in the Indian market and it created a lot of buzz and hype in the country, all thanks to the company’s superb marketing tactics and aggressive launch price. The price of the all-new Ola Electric Scooter starts in India from as low as Rs 79,999 in Gujarat, while in other states where subsidy isn’t offered, it is priced from Rs 99,999. But is the brand new Ola Electric Scooter really worth buying? We will tell you just that in this article. The new Ola Electric Scooter is powered by an electric motor that has a peak power output of 8.5 kW or 11.4 HP along with 58 Nm of peak torque. The electric motor is coupled to a 2.98kWh battery in the Ola S1 while the top-spec S1 Pro variant gets a 3.97kWh battery. However, its battery is a non-removable unit. The company claims that the Ola S1 and the S1 Pro electric scooters will offer a riding range of 121 kms and 181 kms on a single charge respectively.

These electric scooters have a top speed of 90 kmph and 115 kmph respectively. The Ola S1 does 0-40 km/hr in 3.6 seconds while the S1 Pro can do it in just 3 seconds. The Ola S1 can be fully charged in 4.5 hours while the S1 Pro will take around 6.5 hours via a home charger. Using a fast charger, they can be charged from 0-50 per cent in 15 mins.

The new Ola S1 and the S1 Pro are very feature-loaded electric scooters. It features a 7-inch touchscreen instrument display that shows a ton of information and comes with smartphone connectivity and navigation. It also gets 3GB of RAM which is paired with an octa-core processor. Some other notable features of the brand new Ola electric scooter includes proximity lock/unlock sensor, reverse assist, voice assist function, built-in speakers and cruise control, etc.
